Binding of Isaac here and there. Other stuff too, but nothing particularly exciting. I think it's time to find a new game to play.
No.487
>>483That's incredible! I've considered doing one of these but I've been too lazy. I hope you're having fun, I love Diablo and Resident Evil!
I've been playing a lot of Battlefield lately myself.

I picked up Disgaea because it was cheap. I tried it before, but didn't get into it, so I'll give it another go.

No.593

No.599
>>594Yeah, I really liked Clannad's soundtrack and I'm enjoying Kanon's.
I enjoy Hinoue Itaru's art. It's
cute and there's something comforting about it.
>>597I was going to wait until winter, but I got impatient. Maybe I should have gone with Air instead, but I really wanted to read something snowy. I'll read Air in the winter for something warm to get me through the cold months.

A neat little roguelite ship shooty game I found while going through bundle games. I find it pretty fun but I've never seen it talked about anywhere. Might be since it originally released back when these games were coming out every day.
>>781>>797Been a while since I've played a nice long RPG. Been thinking about starting up the Ultima games again.
No.906
>>901Very
cool, have fun with the new PC fren.
I started playing No Man's Sky the other day, now I'm exploring and taking it easy in space.
No.908
>>901The reason you can't find it is since the guy who made it hoarded it to himself, they only post it to show off I think. They did a Miku face too.
I've been working on my own mod that adds Touhou girls though, and went a step further and added the full bodies. I'm not sure how many girls I'll add, but I'll do that Mokou too. I plan to upload it once I'm fairly satisfied with it.
No.911
>>908aaaa, I want it
will you do yuuka?
No.921
>>911Making just the heads like that one guy did is actually pretty easy! Making the entire body though is kind of tough, so I'm not sure how much I'll actually wind up doing even though I wish I could say I'd like to do a lot of the girls.
I'll definitely upload it somewhere when it's got a bit more meat to it though. I only have around 4 full-body girls right now, the rest are just disembodied heads like that one Mokou you posted.
No.922

>>1066its a lot of fun, I'm not very far though. I got stuck for a half hour because i couldn't find the destructable wall i needed to break but it really reminds me of the old GBA metroid games. The elevator loading screens between zones feel really long, like a minute or so but once you're in the zone it feels really seamless.

No.1121
>>1117Looks like a fun mod. Guess Arma 3 has a lot better performance than the previous games. Arma 2 would implode if you tried something that complex on it.
No.1188
>>1174Oh no, the motorbike pokemons look super sussy-wussy. I like the old concept of having a bike and using pokemons for flying and swimming. It emphasized technology and pokemons coexisting in the same world and both having their own merits and usecases. Or something. Luckily I'm not the target audience anymore.
If anything, I'm waiting for Bayonetta 3 if we are talking Switch, but I'm playing a bunch of RPGs at the moment so I probably won't get it on release, I'm not in a hurry.
No.1189

No.1216
>>1212So I decided to play just now and was reminded of how fun Sakuya is too…she has some fun zoning opportunities and above all else her Spell Cards look
cool.
No.1249
>>1248I suck at fighting games, so I don't really try to learn anything more than the basic moveset. Anything more is pretty much beyond me especially outside of practice mode. It's good enough for most games' arcade modes and the off chance I play against someone else that isn't great at fighters.
I mostly like that these games tend to have a lot of care put into them without taking itself too seriously. All the fun little details really show the
passion the team has for their game and any source materials they draw from.
No.1253
>>1249I actually find it easier for me to get better at the ones listed because I care a lot about the original series they came from…at that point I feel like I have to do it justice!
>All the fun little details really show the passion the team has for their game and any source materials they draw from. This is my favorite part too well said. Oh! I think the best testament to this is having stages that are locations that I recognize! I love getting to visit my favorite places in Misaki Town or Rokkenjima.
No.1270
I'm trying out Silent Hill 3 on PC today. It looks amazing compared to the PS2 version. I think the game had too many small details for 480p to do it justice. Even 720p makes a massive difference alongside 60fps.

I tried playing Touhou: WBaWC eariler. Turns out Windows XP isn't supported. As far as I know, I can only play 6-16, and maybe the PC-98 games (I haven't tried). I played a little bit of SA instead. I almost made it to stage 4 in a one off attempt.
No.1406

BIG RANT: I wish games used more storage, storage is fucking cheap and it gets cheaper over the time, unlike render power. I wish game developers made games without regards to storage needs because that's something that improves very cheaply
No.1514

I played lanfang in victoria 3, in indonesia, on borneo
I went to annex a territory in northern java for the population. Siak.
I swayed great britain to my side in the incident, and siak spain.
Siak and I then waited, mobilizing our generals but doing *nothing* with them, we sat tight waiting to see who'd win while britain and spain fought a big destructive land war in europe over whether lanfang annexes siak.

No.2334
>>2297I was reading recently that Sony could have chosen a more powerful chip for the Vita that would have helped with some of the more demanding games. Something like raising the 20FPS in Borderlands to 40FPS potentially. That would've been nice. Oh well.
No.2345
I liked playing gravity rush too that game is nice and meow meows
No.2351
>>2334Frames on mobile hardware are extremely expensive, not to mention straight up doubling them. Raising chip power consumption to deliver more rendering power also has its own consequences like bigger, heavier
cooling (not just expensive, more shipping cost in bulk too), shorter battery life, so the prices scale in a hyperbolic way, not linear.
Mobile hardware already has a market penetration problem in poorer countries, so manufacturers can't just double the price on a whim because rich countries can pay for it.
The Switch is one of the most popular consoles of all time by volume yet it's still relatively rare in my country because people rather pay that Switch OLED money for a home console that has ample rendering power for AAA visuals
No.2352
>>2351The person in question was saying that Sony should have used an 8 core version of the SGX543, instead of a 4 core version like they did. By the time the Vita released, the SGX543 was already 3 years old. Sony had ordered custom chips to begin with so I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that within 3 years, that Sony could have potentially gotten a more powerful and more efficient GPU than the one they actually went with, which was the point the person was trying to make. They also made the point that the Vita would have been helped if it had a faster bus, because it's 133MHz bus bottlenecked both the CPU and GPU and meant that games would suffer if everything couldn't be stored in the 128MB VRAM because of the slow access times for needing to load textures from the main memory.
Of course, this all just a what could have been scenario anyways. Unfortunately, it seems a common trend with Sony that they have ambitious ideas before others, but then fail on the execution only to be outdone however many years later.

Trying Tale of Two Wastelands for Fallout: New Vegas. It's pretty fun, but as with all Bethesda's games, it crashes from time to time. It makes the Fallout 3 content a lot less boring. I'm not using many mods, just a realistic damage mod and a winter mod. Something fun about wandering around in the snow and picking everything off from a long distance.
No.2612
>>2611Still need to finish Racing Lagoon…
No.2613
>>2599I've tried this out a few times too. Unfortunately, because assets are reused some things would end up getting retextured by some texture enhancement stuff I used. I remember I used a sandy dirt texture that looked nice in New Vegas, but then it would crop up in the downtown DC area and look widely out of place.
Maybe I should messing around with it again.
No.2614
>>2613I wouldn't really know. I've just been playing in DC so far, and I don't really use texture mods since I'm pretty used to playing games with outdated and ugly visuals. I'll let you know if I see a bunch of random snow in the Mojave if I get there anytime soon…

>>2878Which PlayStation, or do you just mean in terms of games you'd want to play on one console versus the other? I had a Switch for a while, but I found the library pretty lacking and mostly filled with ports besides first-party Nintendo games. In hindsight, since it was a first generation one I probably could have hacked it and gotten more use out of it, but instead I decided to sell it and get into VR instead.
