Lately I have been replaying Tsukihime again! That game is extremely dear to me so it is nice to play it over once more, I want to play the remake if it ever comes out here so badly. I am also trying to find some fun mods for Terraria that I can add onto Calamity…

I forgot to mention, I really love the game's music too! Clannad and Air have great soundtracks as well, I really love more ambient electronic songs in VN OSTs. Clannad made me fall in love with how Rhodes keys sound with reverbed pads.

I finished Mais route. I liked her a lot and the route was pretty interesting. It got surprisingly, I don't know, harsh toward the end. Usually the real tragedies happen in the past. I didn't really understand the end much. I guess Mai used her ESP to set things right?
I expected to do her route last, but I always go in without a guide first. I appreciated that there was decent closure with Makoto and Ayu. Normally, I'd expect them to disappear without a word. Crazy to think how old it is. It doesn't really feel that old…

The reason you can't find it is since the guy who made it hoarded it to himself, they only post it to show off I think. They did a Miku face too.

I've been working on my own mod that adds Touhou girls though, and went a step further and added the full bodies. I'm not sure how many girls I'll add, but I'll do that Mokou too. I plan to upload it once I'm fairly satisfied with it.

Making just the heads like that one guy did is actually pretty easy! Making the entire body though is kind of tough, so I'm not sure how much I'll actually wind up doing even though I wish I could say I'd like to do a lot of the girls.

I'll definitely upload it somewhere when it's got a bit more meat to it though. I only have around 4 full-body girls right now, the rest are just disembodied heads like that one Mokou you posted.

Cautiously optinenstic about the new Pokemon…

 No.1188

>>1174
Oh no, the motorbike pokemons look super sussy-wussy. I like the old concept of having a bike and using pokemons for flying and swimming. It emphasized technology and pokemons coexisting in the same world and both having their own merits and usecases. Or something. Luckily I'm not the target audience anymore.

If anything, I'm waiting for Bayonetta 3 if we are talking Switch, but I'm playing a bunch of RPGs at the moment so I probably won't get it on release, I'm not in a hurry.

 No.1249

>>1248
I suck at fighting games, so I don't really try to learn anything more than the basic moveset. Anything more is pretty much beyond me especially outside of practice mode. It's good enough for most games' arcade modes and the off chance I play against someone else that isn't great at fighters.
I mostly like that these games tend to have a lot of care put into them without taking itself too seriously. All the fun little details really show the passion the team has for their game and any source materials they draw from.

Frames on mobile hardware are extremely expensive, not to mention straight up doubling them. Raising chip power consumption to deliver more rendering power also has its own consequences like bigger, heavier cooling (not just expensive, more shipping cost in bulk too), shorter battery life, so the prices scale in a hyperbolic way, not linear.
Mobile hardware already has a market penetration problem in poorer countries, so manufacturers can't just double the price on a whim because rich countries can pay for it.
The Switch is one of the most popular consoles of all time by volume yet it's still relatively rare in my country because people rather pay that Switch OLED money for a home console that has ample rendering power for AAA visuals

 No.2352

>>2351
The person in question was saying that Sony should have used an 8 core version of the SGX543, instead of a 4 core version like they did. By the time the Vita released, the SGX543 was already 3 years old. Sony had ordered custom chips to begin with so I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that within 3 years, that Sony could have potentially gotten a more powerful and more efficient GPU than the one they actually went with, which was the point the person was trying to make. They also made the point that the Vita would have been helped if it had a faster bus, because it's 133MHz bus bottlenecked both the CPU and GPU and meant that games would suffer if everything couldn't be stored in the 128MB VRAM because of the slow access times for needing to load textures from the main memory.

Of course, this all just a what could have been scenario anyways. Unfortunately, it seems a common trend with Sony that they have ambitious ideas before others, but then fail on the execution only to be outdone however many years later.

Which PlayStation, or do you just mean in terms of games you'd want to play on one console versus the other? I had a Switch for a while, but I found the library pretty lacking and mostly filled with ports besides first-party Nintendo games. Finished Wizardry 8. What a game. Overwhelming at first, fascinating when you get used to it. The eperience was defenitely mesmerizing and I feel a strong desire to immediately replay the game.
The voice acting is never not entertaining. The sheer amount of voice lines is staggering. The writing is also really, really good.
Downsides: combat speed (can be fixed with mods), amount of encounters.
Godtier game overall.
Apparently the series was/is really popular in Japan. Somehow more popular than in the West. Definitely want to learn more about the history of Wizardry.

I've been playing a lot of Planescape: Torment lately, it's an RPG based off of D&D. I haven't finished it yet but it's the most engaged I've been in a game for a while. It's probably the most philosophical game I think I've played and feels almost like a novel at times with all the dialogue. There's a lot of themes like questioning if the oblivion of death is better than living a life of suffering, the power of belief to change the world around you, and many others. I really liked the teachings of Zerthimon and Dak'kon's dialogue. I don't want to spoil too much, but I suggest experiencing it for yourself as blindly as possible.

I highly recommend trying it to the RPG-enthusiast nenner.

I'm almost finished with the Fallout 3 portion of TTW. I have a damage re-balance mod on that was great early on, but with how much health they give these end-game enemies and that it makes armor matter more… It's kind of a slog with all the power armor everywhere. Even my sniper rifle takes a few criticals to kill a lot of stuff, and everything else either has very little ammo or is likely to kill me as well. Apart from that, the game has actually been a bit difficult. I actually have to use items sometimes to get through encounters instead of mowing everything down with ease.
I'll have to look into how the New Vegas portion is handled. I think some more mods might be necessary to make it a bit more difficult.

I'm going to be honest, I don't like that FF16 is an action game and I don't like the explanation either. Maybe action games are just bigger in japan and we don't get the influence because I would say action games like DMC and Bayonetta are still relatively niche on the west. I don't see how this explanation of "oh now we have the hardware so we can do it" makes any sense, it's not like there aren't any action games on weaker platforms than ps5.
Just say "we want to make a cool realtime action game because we think it's cool" and that's it. I like turn-based combat and I don't think it's inferior nor superior to real time action. It's a choice. You can do both good or badly. Even in the original FF7 Tifa had a cool combo attack that was just cool because it was well animated and the sound made sure it has impact. It had nothing to do with her being like 5 polygons or the combat being turn-based.
I don't know what was the reason behind this decision but I know for sure that hardware power has nothing to do with it.

Don't know about that controversy. I'm guessing someone said in an interview that turn based is a death sentence for a AAA game.

But I haven't had any interest in the game in the first place. Could never get into SE's Kingdom Hearts and FF15 style games. They just feel like poor action games and poor RPGs. I just assumed 16 would be similar.

I couldn't sleep one night a long time ago so I spent the entire night playing deathsmiles, that was a lot of fun but I wasn't any good at it.

I like my nenstation 5 quite a bit, I've mostly played PC games but these days I split my time almost 50:50 between the two.

I think I like DoDonPachi more than Mushihimesama. The soundtrack is really good, and the game is a lot more flashy. It makes me feel like I'm better at the game even though I'm bad at shmups in general.

I'm not very good with shmups but I managed to complete it. The unlimited continues were very lenient. You can also unlock hotaru gozen on your second playthrough if I recall.

I like that boss canceling is gone, but I wish level 4s still cleared some bullets. The story mode change feels a little weird but I guess it's better than the old system.

The almost year-late yuuka ported into arma 3!!!

She still needs just a little work, but I hope she lives up to nenner's expectations. Getting her model to look good was actually pretty tough given arma's limitations. But my mod is very nearly done now, and I'll hopefully have it uploaded within the next few weeks!
